Bright clear day - 10 degrees above zero at 6:45 A.M. Classes as usual. walked around by avenue with Miss Driggs in going to chapel. practiced electrolysis of HCL - went skating in P.M. with Casius Cassius, Cassius Caius and Winnie Wiggin. Studied Bible  - attended prayermeeting at the College. Let by Miss Monroe - subj. "A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise." walked down thereafter with Miss Cummings adn Miss Chandler - Miss Briggs came in for a while in the evening. Miss Cooley is not feeling quite so well this afternoon and evening. Letters from the mither, one very short one this A.M. one this evening.

Friday Jan. 18
Miss Cooley went to Natick this morning to stay till she is well again - Taught Chemistry and Bible - went to greenhouse and dressmaker's with C.C. and C.C. Miss Driggs and I went to prayermeeting in the village this evening. read paper - started mitten for Ethel. read a little in History of our Own Times.

Saturday Snow
Classes in A.M. Attempted to practice Chlorine experiments in the afternoon, but without distinguished success. Prof. Wilkinson, of Tarrytown, N.Y. - lectured on Macaulay at 2:20 - very good - Letter from Annie arrived at night. Miss Hall and Miss Pendleton came in in the evening and we mended and read some in Green Pastures and Piccadilly.

Sunday Jan. 20
Went to church and Sunday School in the village with Ada Jones. Mr. Cornan preached on Ezek. 4:19 "And everything shall live whither the river cometh"
