User-Contributed Transcription Thurs. Rec'd Cong. Life from John. Crisis of Missions from A.B.C.F.M. Did Note Books mostly all day. classes at 9, 1:30 & 3:10. Went to College in evening to hear Rev. H. Grattan Guiness of London. He talked about Africa, especially the Soudan - asked us all to express an opinion as to its evangelization. Wrote letter home - Cold weather. high wind. 15 degrees +
Friday Feb. 8 Classes at 9. Meeting of Freshman Bible Teachers at 3:10 again. Simon making preparation for [?chlonius].
Sat. 9 Wrote to Nette - Helped in Cl class at 9. D'w.A. home for lunch. class at 2:20 wh. will no again be on Saturday. Went after it to the Eliot to see Mrs Jones, from whom I had a note in morning mail - invitation from The Misses Eastman for the 16th - Read E.E. Hale's "Snow Blockade" - Miss Fisher unexpectedly had 2 Harvard youths here at dinner. Went skating in evening, Fisher, Helmers, Hill, Miller & I. fine time. Said youths took 9:30 train - snow last night. Nellie sick. Dr. Cook here.
Sun. 10 Beautiful weather. Misses Palmer, [?McClun], Miller, Holmes, Tillotson & I went to Natick in the wagonette, to church - scattered to our several churches - I went into Dr. Cook's great Bible class. All much interested in S.S. lesson on way home. Did not finally go out in evening. Miss Jennie Bliss spending Sunday.
