Thurs. 5 Postal from Lille - worked on the fertilizers. Began Illuminating Gas in 1:30 class. Wrote to Mrs. Booth, Prof. Turner of Lincoln, Ill. Prof. Starr of Cor[[?]] College. & Mrs. Durant - Prayermeeting - Miss Barrows -
Friday. 6 Class at 8. Spent remainder of dat, for the most part, on Bones & such.
Sat. 7 Took 10 o'clock train for Boston - thence to Andover to spend Sunday with Lilla D. Patterson - reached there about 1 o'clock. Had a good social time - open fire in evening. Mrs. Beard came in -
Sun. 8 Beautiful day - very warm in afternoon. Went to the chapel church & heard Prof. Egbert Smyth morning and afternoon - Met Prof. Churchill, who was very friendly & introduced me to Prof. Smyth - went in afternoon, after church, to see Belle French, Miss McKeen, Mrs. Mead, Mrs. Anderson (Clara Potter).
