User-Contributed Transcription May Patterson and Grace Gruber sick with bad headaches. Maggie sick also with bad stomach. Went alone to see Dr. Barker after dinner. she came here before dinner, but did not see Maggie.
Wed. 10 Sick ones all better. Fine morning. Worked in lab, most of morning trying to get an experiment, NaCL & AgNO3, to prove the Law of Def. Prop. Classes in P.M. Sent letter to Wi and paper to John. C.C.P.s here for dinner. Furnace Fire went out, Maggie and I hunted up William - Spoke to all the children in solemn conclave in Parlor, about Bathroom, neatness, table, fire prevention, +c. they took my remarks very sweetly.
Thurs. 11 Beautiful weather - wrote to Annie & to Pater +c - Letter from Mrs. Booth - wrote to her also. Classes all day - went to see Miss Shafer about Mr. Booth - returned sheets to Eliot & to Miss Townsend. Mr. A.P. Dana called in the evening.
Fri. 12 rain - rain - Simon and I went after gentians in the rain - got two baskets full - South Natick - 10-12:30 - sent a box of them to Nette - gave some to Mrs Currier, some to Helen Sill. Came down to Cottage St. about 2 - Mrs Perkins came this afternoon to cover mattresses. Telegram after dinner from Mrs Booth, saying next Sunday was the only day she
