User-Contributed Transcription you to walk with me, but to ride, and seems to me that riding about must be beneficial to you if not pursued as business but pleasure  As I said before I am sorry, but you must come now why I suppose we must content to wait, and consider the expected visit postponed for about six weeks only.   Metcalf Coat of Arms, Engraving very ambient thereof possessed by an Old Lady of Shelburne Mass. Her Name I believe is Wells. she is herself Old. I believe Also Maiden Name was not Metcalf but that her Mother's was which old Lady I suspect might have been the last heir of some branch of the Michael M. family, I believe I traced the genealogy around through some Gov. Huntington family that once was of Comr. round back to Dedham or Wrentham or somewhere.  For your portrayal I am very much obliged, just what I wanted. The Engraving of Old Mrs. Wells I have not seen I could not I went over to Shelburne once but it was on a stormy Sunday only that I was there. & I could not. If I had stayed in that region this Season I should have tried it. I have heard it described by none capable. It has the three calves passant, Sable, & the Motto I believe, the crest I cannot say. As for Money Investment I know Nothing, but take it for granted that you know enough. I suppose those Certain Rail Roads, Eastern, Worcester, Fitchburg, Lowell, Concord, Nashua etc. etc. which pay not far from 10 per cent, & their Stocks are therefore above par. they are good property & safe investments. I suppose though that if any one wished to speculate in R.R. Stocks, it must be done in "Fancies", in those whose value is somewhat Nominal.
