User-Contributed Transcription it was too late.  I believe though it as half an hour at least, after boats did get there, and Charles & I left before the body was recovered. My breath was so short, that I could not stay under water long enough to amount to anything hardly.  Mother though[t] Charles & I would both catch cold &c. but I guess we did not; I rather strained my short breath, but have got about over it I guess.   There came, the day after you left a letter from Susie Brigham which I will save till you get back  I guess there is nothing special in it for which to send it to you.   I wrote to George & Mailed Thursday Morning, and also a letter to you which I presume you have got ere this.   I am quite anxious to hear from you. I expect you got very tired indeed before you got to New H.
