User-Contributed Transcription I wrote to you from Galion where I made my first detention yesterday of nearly 14 hours. and have nothing particular to unite tonight, only to tell you of my delays, and to request you to take good care of my wife & children,If Eliab had come with me I guess he might have thought the west a hard road to travel. I do not like it very well to come away and leave him. I hope you will write to me frequently - every day, - this week.
