User-Contributed Transcription Summer, only more so. doors all open, hogs in or out as they please and furniture & everything all there Books & all, as left down stairs. It is lucky the  hogs do not go up stairs for up there bedding &c. is all over the floors!  It is really strange.   Today, I left DuCoign at 10.35 A.M.   7 P.M. reached here.  You remember Mr Marshall wished me to call on his wife's folks here. I shall stop here tonight and till 10 oclock tomorrow morning. I could call there just as well as not, and would, but ___ I cannot for the life of me remember the name. I noted it in my Memorandum  book, but I left that at Dunbarton  I expect I will find a letter from you at Chicago. I want it bad.   Your own  Isaac S.
