User-Contributed Transcription sent this a long time ago, but wished to send all the news I could. Isn't it already filled well? But now for a few items more. I go to Shelburne the 1st of May to commence a 4 months school in Mr. Wells district, Charles is the agent I think I shall enjoy it very much. Hope I shall be better satisfied than I was at Northfield. Eunice has gone to to Chicago But perhaps you know that already. Did you know I had serious thought about you & Eunice? How is it? Dr. Field has left town and given up practice, has gone to Keene to assist Alfred.
Now as I have told the latest news I will draw to a close. We should be very happy to have you call in some night and spend a evening or two or three days with us at any time and hope certainly to hear from you soon. Father and Mother send love and many good wishes. I presume after looking at this you will be ready and willing to give me a high recommend to teach writing, shall you not?
Accept many good wishes for you best welfare,
Yours, respectfully, Maria M. Stevens
I should be happy to hear from you soon as convenient, that we may know your whereabouts . . . Take good care of your health. . .
