User-Contributed Transcription Gave him the raps of dardy over his shoulders! Damn you says he, if you touch me again I will prosecute you Upon this he retreated to his seat up the aisle. I upon his trail putting on the raps. He seated himself. "Come out here! said I." I wont! So I just laid hands on him - he planted both hands & feet against the benches! But the way he came out - wont - slow! Round & round I set him a going, make him dizzy & down he went crash upon the floor and I on top of him! He sung out, you have hurt my head I jumped & told him to get up & give me his hand? He obliged & cried - and promised to be obedient. and hence I did not punish him any farther. He is a pretty good boy now (comparatively).
When I finish this school I commence another upon the Foreside where we went one day - two or three months more. I went to work after I came from Br'k at [[joinering?]] & continued it nearly a month, made $20. Have studied but little yet. Must do something ab it soon I intend to be in Brunswick ab the commencement of the Spring Term Shall you be there?
