Thursday. Fair

Lowell. Cloudy. Before breakfast walked out, met Saml N. Merrill, practicing law two years, just now temporarily teacher sick in Gram. School. After breakfast to Isaac N. Metcalf's. Did not see him or Charles H. though I staid till 12 M. I like Mrs. Nancy. Old Uncle Enoch health pretty good. Mostly recovered from paralysis. One acre of garden, Lots of Fowls, Black Spanish. Seabrights [[?]]
1 P.M. Cars for Manchester & Parkers. Carried up by Hoyt & Parker's team
4 1/2 P.M. Dunbarton.

June 6
Friday. Fair. Cloudy. Cold
With Mayo & wagon, went to carry Asenath home via Raymonds, & over the hills from Marshalls. Very fine hills, and splendid prospects. Mayo to see chickens, & out to Pasture to see Calf. Home via East Weare. Saw the load which killed John Peaslee. a very few dry boards on a horse cart behind fore wheels of wagon. The horse started & wheels went over him, hardly any external injury, probably broke a blood vessel, & died almost instantly, bleeding at mouth.

2 1/2 Rev. Isaac Willeng & wife & son Albert, stop till 7 1/2
3 P.M. Isaac went after Jenney, school of 12 scholars. looks well.
