June 6 1855
Wednesday. Fine clear day.
We rose at four in the morning and Isaac and Eliab before five started for Boston. The latter to be home in a few days. Isaac going to Ohio. Penn. Ills. &c - Know not when he will be home. I went to sleep again after they left
After breakfast Lizzie came with flowers and a note. I righted matters up stairs as much as I could. Porter cart came for the trunks before ten and shortly after Mayo & his mother walked up to Lucy's leaving Mallin somewhat long-faced. I hoped to go to Maternal Meeting in P.M. but could not arrange to leave Mayo because Lizzie had the promise of going - so I at home alone with Mayo [[?]].P. & Ellen. Lucy & Mallin went down town before meeting. Children pretty good.
Lizzie got Mayoo to sleep at noon and he had fine nap. Mrs. Martin in in the evening.
Mayo cried some when he went to bed.
I wrote to Fanny Hinckley, at Du[[?]]oin.
