Monday Fair & cool -
I read Knickerbocker and played with baby in AM & made gingerbread. Anna over at half past twelve, and we went to the East Falls till little past one. Fine view of there from the high, steep bank. Wrote & mailed to Isaac - Went over to Dr's with Wilder from 1/2 past two till four. Hattie brought letter from Isaac mailed 2 Feb. Just a week coming. Called with Jenny at Mr. Baldwins. She absent as usual.

Tuesday - Cold - fair -
Wrote & mailed to Dunbarton -
Anna came just after noon - invited us over to tea and for the evening - with Mrssrs Robbins and Anderson & Miss Woodbury - I went to tea and Jenny came after baby went to sleep. Mrs. Edwin Hall called in P.M. Just got to bed at night when a great noise & a great light roused me - the block just across the street from the DeWitt block was on fire - we were up till twelve and were roused again at three. The fire had broken out again.
