Spent the Week at Dr Lucas'
doing his [[?]], looking over & [[?]] up both
some reading considerable, writing some.
Tuesday 2, feeling better I went
on Dr. [[?]] & I rode down into the
Timber to Party, who had I found all been lost
all the morning! Intending to remain out
but hot sunshine so bad I left.
At night [[?]] & Chilly some but not
so bad as Sunday. So stuck to home
Dr gave me a pretty thorough [[?]].
Friday 5th. Mr Olmsted was at
Locust Hill & [[?]] went down & see him

Sat. & Mr. 6. P.M. Dr Lucas & [[?]]
rode up to see Party, up in Timber
above Muddy River
Fine Ride [[?]] 8 miles & back
