Up to the house, dinner etc. Shool 1 3/4. I very much hurried to make up my lessons etc, much behind h[[?]]d. Greek etc History. School done 4 3/4
Hereafter school is to leave off at half past 4 P.M. and half past 12 A.M. as it is getting rather dark before 5 here afternoons. Rode up on Mr. Leavitts horse after the cow. took care of the horse, milked etc. before 6. supper at 6 1/2 up stairs at 6 1/2 3/4
Eve. Writing letter to Milo etc. Journal etc etc Letter

Wed. 23d
Warmer. Rose at 5 3/4
Chores etc. Mr. W. et wife up after 8. No frost but warmish. Cloudy. Went down to Mr. Foxe's and got my coat and vest. coat made layer
School 8 1/2 review etc. Parsing, Virgil, Next [[?]] lesson get Spelling lesson. Philosophy. Declamation (not me). Spelling etc. School done 12-5. home. finishing letter to Milo, fixing bundle etc
After dinner went down town but could see no one from Milo. James and I went up to N. Harlows to grind ax, knives etc. &c. all the afternoon. drove the cow back, horse got a 5 1/2, milked etc
Just before, as ready to sit down to supper, Mr. W. was called out, and got back, about 7! Expecting him every minute. most l[[?]] an hour.
Up stairs 7 1/4 Writing Composition - on trying - Journal etc

Thursday 24th
Cloudy. wind. Fairish. Rose at 5 3/4
Turned the cow in the little pasture by B. Harlow. Wood
School 8 1/2 et review etc. School left off 12 1/2 plus. down town but not
Bake fresh pork for dinner, eat too much by four. - [[?]] - [[?]].
Greek, school etc. We are to recite Greek before recess under the new dispensation! School done 4 1/2. Cow. Wood etc. milk. upstairs writing

Friday 25th
Fair. dont begin. Rose at 5 1/2
Got some cedar when I turned out the cow, did not get back till 7 1/2
Schooll &c. &c. as usual. Noon down town, but saw no one from Milo
P.M. happened to see "Midshipman Easy" in school. [[?]]. somehow got to reading it wrong
P.M. et Eve. very foolishly, wont do so again could not leave off when bega[[?]] no [[?]]
