User-Contributed Transcription forgotten the doings of the "Fourth". When he thinks of it he says I {dess guess} I better (hurra hulla} now." He has funny ideas, all his own, about measuring his love. He loves father "four bushels, and a tow cow and a lammie and some bossys" . Loves Jamie "four bushels and a cow and a horse." Loves the Lammie "four bushels and a horse & fours doors and a bow-wow". The preface is always four bushels. He talks about Percie & Gertie, says they are "gone done away, to Bandor" and tells how much he loves them. It is hard for him to be in doors so much - but the flies are too bad for him to be out. The top of his head is covered & recovered with bites as it is - so his neck and ears. We hope they will depart soon. They have been more troublesome for some days - perhaps have arisen in great wrath because their time is short. Mr. Rider says they normally leave in July & I think they might to retire to private life & reflect & repent. They need to do so as much as the President almost.
