User-Contributed Transcription not felt so well since the warm weather came. She says it makes her feel "so shiftless and lazy." She will not call it anything else. I think she is rather pining to get back to Milo, to watch over her tomatoes & roses & those little houseplants - Charlie & Josie & Mary though she seems happy enough here. She will not stay more than a week longer I imagine. I do not know whether I shall go when she does or not. Almeda says I better stay till you come so that you can come for us and she can see you. Shall I do so? The only trouble is I want to see you just as soon as you get to Milo. It will not make much difference I know. Mayo came near tipping over the table with the five big brown bread loaves on, it all in iron pans directly onto his own little self. Mother & I were both by and caught the table just after the loaves began to slide. I have had a nice letter from Anna and was thinking to answer it to day, but she will hear from me when you get this, and so it may be better to wait a few days before writing to her.[left-hand side and top] A letter from home to day too - Mother can hardly bear it that we do not come there this Fall. Father has his old trouble diarrhea to some extent - not so bad yet as last season. Mother as usual only a little tired with nursing? when she wrote. Father just getting over an attack of rhumatism.
