User-Contributed Transcription March 16 - My letters are often somewhat in the journal style - I seldom finish one with a single date, especially when at home. This is a very clear and beautiful day, and I have just been out to enjoy its sunshine, but it is not very pleasant walking, for the snow is rapidly taking its departure, and it is, of course, rather wet - I was quite glad to get back to the house.I have engaged to teach a small school about two miles away, which is to commence the 20th of May, and continue 10 weeks, and perhaps a week or two longer. I thought of your advice to me, when I gave my affirmative answer, but this is so near home, that father and mother seemed to favor it, and on the whole I think it better for me to take it. -- Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Chase called here last Sunday - Mrs. P - came to know if I would teach a private school in Goffstown, before the summer term commenced. I hardly think, however, they will succeed in obtaining sufficient scholars, and I rather hope they will not; though it would be a very pleasant school for me - I think I should enjoy it.- I hope you may realize fully all the happiness that you have been imagining. I almost tremble when I think what I have said and done - not that I regret it, or would retract one word; for it is all
