User-Contributed Transcription King or some other evil genius intercept the letters or delay their coming. But I suppose it would be as well not to anticipate trouble from this source, but cheerfully expect the best. I believe no letter has failed, as yet. So judging of the future by the past, none ever will. I do not wonder that you are lonesome so very far from dear home, and dearer friends. Be these winter months will pass away rapidly and March will come almost before we think of it.We have been having fine snow storms without any wind to make it drift, and this morning the rain has been falling very softly upon it. But the clouds are now parting and the sun and blue sky peeping out between them in every direction. However, it is growing cold and freezing so our snow will be furnished with a "coat of mail" that the wind cannot move. We always feel very gad of a snow without a blow. We had a snow storm too, just before Thanksgiving, but the day was a glorious one and the sleighing fine. A great many people were at meeting. But it hardly seemed like Thanksgiving to us. We were alone til just about night. Then some of the young people of the neighborhood
