User-Contributed Transcription Dunbarton, May 22 - 1856.Dearest Isaac,- I will write a few lines to send by this afternoon's mail. Father and mother are gone to North Dunbarton to make calls etc. Willie is sleeping and Wilder playing on the floor. Asenath finishing her ironing Jenny sewing & talking as fast as possible. Of course I have been almost lost without your dear self & Mayo though so fully employed with the babies as not to be lonely at all. I cannot tell how many times I fancied I heard Mayo yesterday. The babies seem as well as when you left. - perhaps better. They slept very well. Wilder only waked once, and did not cry at all during the night.
