User-Contributed Transcription squashes, beans, beets & corn for selves and the cow & pigs. Zillah and I went out and cut the sage. I heard Libbie parse, and had some calls in the P.M. Libbie does not feel well, but I guess she will be better in few days. Her tongue looks bad and she seems to have no appetite. The Dr. too feels badly, could not go to meeting Sabbath day. Rev. Jenkins read a sermon in the morning & Mr. Goodspeed told the Dr. he did not hear one word of it. It was unfortunate. The Methodist minister preached in the P.M. The Dr. could have done far better, though all he said was very good, but my head ached with the noise he made saying it. Dr. and Libbie both seem to feel some better to day. I have been out for cucumbers & squashes
