I seems to me it must be healthier and pleasanter than the prairies.You ask what I would think of Illinois as a home. I suppose before this reaches you, you will have received two letters telling you how I feel about it. My ideas are still the same, and my heart still replies to you, "Whither thou goest, I will go."I would like to know a little more definitely how we will be situated, supposing I go back with you in the Spring, but if you leave the very first of next month, I think there will be not time for me to get a reply to this letter, so I leave all the questions for another time. And besides, I presume your next letters will contain the information I would like. I have found this frequently the case - you would seem to anticipate what I wished to know and tell me.I have just been reading of the success of "Liquor Law" in Maine. I should think you would glory in your state. This seems to be the guiding Star in Temperance now; and her light is shining all over the Union. The
