User-Contributed Transcription Brother G. and I think of occupying the time that remains before his term commences, in visiting some relatives in Boston and Westboro, Mass. This is mother's plan, and she is quite anxious to have it accomplished. If we go, we shall leave home next Monday, and be away, perhaps, a little more than two weeks. After that, mother says she believes she shall claim me, as long as Dunbarton is my home. It will give me great pleasure to comply with her wishes, not only for the sake of gratfying her, but because nowhere have I ever been so happy as at home. I am hoping to find some time for mental culture, and any advice from you, with regard ti the best method of spending this time, I should be most happy to follow. I believe I need as much as anything, to take lessons in talking. There is nothing of which I oftener feel the need than the power of easy and ready expression in conversation. Tupper tells the truth about it: - "For at every turn to want a word, - thou canst not guess that want; It is as lack of breath on bread��: life hath no grief more galling." I think I shall adopt the plan of reading a passage from some work every day, for the express purpose of reproducing it in my own words, with mother and Jenny for my audience. But
