Spend the night at Esy Allison's in Manchester.May 5. reached S. today - come by stage from Manchester. Board at Dea. Goodnow a very pleasant family.May 6. Attended ch. heard Mr. Moor preach three were admitted to the church in the afternoon, at the communion season. Two of them were baptized. Joy has been caused in heaven over their repentance & may many more here be led to the Savior without delay.May 13 Sunday Mr. Davis preached in the forenoon from "Choose ye this day whom ye will serve, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord." Design of the discourse to show the religious duties of parents to their children. In the afternoon the verses describing the healing of blind Bartimaeus were the foundation of the discourse - sabbath school chr. were particularly addressed. I have been reading Mrs. Judsons memoirs I hope it is my sincere desire that it should incite me to greater zeal for God. What very nothingness are all my endeavors. Oh! that God may work in me and by me and permit me to be an instrument of some good. How responsible is my situation 45 immortals under
