User-Contributed Transcription nicely except his teeth - he has fourteen others badly swollen and troublesome Don't you think Mayo is quite behind? I hope he will not cut them harder for waiting. It is fortunate that it will probably be in cold weather. That is, unless he goes till another summer! He is more forward than Percie, as Nettie writes about him. Percie don't go out door alone at all. He tries to say a good many words, but hardly any plainly enough so that a stranger would understand. Charlie is a nice little boy; would superintend (advantageously, for aught I know) the general business of the family, if desired! I imagine his father wants to see him some, as well as the other children. He amuses Ellen, our girl very much - she thinks him a child needing care all the time, whereas he takes care of her almost & directs her famously. She laughs so hard once in a while. Ephraim Paulk, the builder of the palace on Broadway failed last week. Gets little sympathy. Be good & write often. Find up some curiosity & bring with you Charles, wont you? good bye - sis Lucy.
