User-Contributed Transcription Sam'l is here tonight April 3rd He has bought out Pendleton & Ross gave Furber & Metcalf, notes for 10000,I suppose they'll write you all about it - In regard to Charles's coming home soon - we want to see him enough but the winter will be over & gone & the singing of birds will come sometime - and tho' we can conjure up a thousand difficulties & disasters which may happen - the probability is, I think we shall get along quite comfortably - We have Mr. Willard Frosts son here now & he would perhaps stay thro' the summer for wages enough - tho' if Walter Rider will come it will be better - tho he is an invalid somewhat & his wife & child must come with him - Sam'l think that good smart men will get from 15, to 18, or 20, a monthI cannot but feel concern'd for you & Antoinette in regard to your health would that whole Rail Road if you could own it all be worth as much to you as your health and your wife's health -- I have some fears tho' I suppose she is coming east soon that the change from that climate to the N.H. Hills if too sudden may be too much for her will she not stop a few weeks with Anna She expects to come here in first part of JuneHow I do want to see you all - I suppose I shall stay here till Charles comes home but the time will seem long dont let him stay till he gets the "shakes"Anna wrote that she is planning to have me go home with her but I dont think it will be expedient this summer from your affectionate MotherTo I.S.M.
