User-Contributed Transcription I have felt very much discourag'd about Lucy sometimes and she has about herself tho' she is you know very hopeful - one day she wanted me to bring her the looking Glass after looking I said in a careless manner - well what do you think of yourself - a sad look came over her face & she answer'd I think I shall never get well that is what I think But for 2 or 3 days past she does certainly seem to be better she may be all down again by tomorrow but I feel very much encouraged now Strawberries & green Pea seem to set better on her stomach than anything she has had Do my Dear Children write often let me know your thoughts & feelings & plans much love to your Parents, & you call from your Mother
