User-Contributed Transcription Elyria May 2nd / 56My Dear Son I recieved your letter on the 29 just five days after the date of it. The last I rec'd from Bangor was 9 days on the way I thank you very much for your promptness in writing And for your very kind offer to meet us on the way. We now think of Starting Tuesday morning 13th of May. I am afraid it is too early in the season but there are reasons why it is most convenient to go then unless we put it off till the 26 or 27 And that would make Anna's visit very short as the Dr. thinks he must be back by 1st of July because of his business in the Bank _ we shall endeavor & get through Tickets to Boston and stop there a day or two & Anna thinks we can get along to Parkers without you coming to meet us as it will save so much expense. Then we hope you can go to Bangor with us. I cant of course tell you now when we shall be at Parkers but perhaps we can let you know after we get to Boston. The grass is up looking very green & beautiful. The leaves are out on the apples tree so that they look quite
