User-Contributed Transcription 14th,- Mr. Rider died last Tuesday [10th] was buried Thursday he has suffer'd a great deal but died very easy at the last Sam'l & Eliab went up to the funeralI have written two letters to you within a month & am duely expecting one from you I should enjoy some precious privileges at Elyria or here and some comforts that I cannot expect at Milo- & indeed I expect many little anoyances there But I think it will be better for Percie to be there with the children He has not the goaheadativeness that Mayo had is babyish and hanging round one all the time when his father is not about- he loves to be with him when he is here 16_ Thus far I had written & then concluded to lay it by till I reciev'd one from you & now half past nine P.M. I have just read yours of March 11th & now what shall I say to you? I want to be with you & yours & Anna
