I had a very good letter from Mrs. Buttrick Lois's oldest Daughter last spring was very much gratified for I had heard so little of the Barree friends that I didn't know but they had forgotten me I wish your would write to me oftener. What does Brother Williams think of the War now would he be glad to heave the rebellion prevail over the north & have slavery establish'd all over the land War is dreadful but submission to injustice - oppression & cruelty is a greater evil God is on the side of right & justice. His will be done my love to Henry - to his Father & all the friends from your loving Sister A.M. Metcalf
