User-Contributed Transcription Wednes. June 4th in Mr. Pomroy's study! Very dear Brother, I came down to Bangor with Cutts today in this excessive heat to teach the school that you had last Winter, that is if I don't fail in Examinations! I am so warm and tired and confused that I almost expect I shall. I found your huge letter at the P.O. this morning & read it mostly, in a great hurry while waiting for Mr. Cutts. Am exceedingly rejoiced at your good fortune, but can hardly stop to tell you so now. It is really "confusion worse confounded" here today & I am not in the best possible state of mind to enjoy it today. I cannot stay to tell you that I am so glad of Mrs. Child's family etc. of all the pleasant things you saw learn etc. but will write you a long letter as soon as I can. We have been very much hurried of late, (was there ever a time when we were not?) but we have thought none the less of you because we did not write more. Mary Barnes goes to Milo tomorrow with Ann, to stay till her Mother comes home. Mrs. P. & Anna start tomorrow morning. Joseph is here in a store on trial. An Auction Store, Goss & Upham's I suppose you know. Eve. Have been down town & seen Joseph & Eliab. They must finish this & write more by E. Brown. In great haste Sis Lucy.I made a mistake & wrote on the wrong page but no matter.
