User-Contributed Transcription The little one is, so far, fat and healthy, Albina is very Smart considering Charley is well Almeda & her children are well I am well Charles is well but has rather a hard time to get along with all his labours I have to be pretty busy Joseph often has cold hands & feet in spite of my endeavors to keep them warm there seems to have been a change come over him in one respect, he Spits a frothy watery kind of stuff continually one would think he had just been Salivated. What is the cause? If you have profitable employment I suppose you ought to attend to it but if it should happen so that you could be here a month or two after you have done that job I shall be glad. I tell Joseph he'll spit himself all away he says it would take eight months and if only half of him is bad perhaps he'll spit that all away in 4 months & then begin to get well. They talk some of calling the babe Joseph Stevens what do you say to it? I mended your cloth shoes all nicely so that they are "most as good as new,, So they are all ready for your wedding nonsense! Well! you need not read it24 Joseph had the nose bleed today -What cold weather and windy we have had, the girls to my great disappointment are not coming till last of next week24 evening Sam'l arriv'd here this evening says Ann talks of going right away to Westfield N.Y. is desir'd to take charge of Westfield academy how can we let her go I depended on her help but I will hope you will be at home Joseph is very feeble - he sits up almost as much as usual but tis difficult to keep his feet & hand warm
