An apocryphal story tells that Cermak said to Roosevelt - "underlined: I'm glad it was me instead of you," Roosevelt then said, "So am I." I'm glad McGovern didn't get shot ere this. He's the only "pol" whose Campaign I ever contributed to. Maybe I'll regret that, too. My son and daughter are also for McGovern. F.M.
