San Carlos, July 9th 1889A.J Arama EsqrGlobe CityDear Sir- Yours of June 26th came to have June 24th-I sent for the old woman right away, and at same time sentyou a note enclosed. Mrs M Watson letter. TellingMrs Watson to deliver note to you. I was very sick at the time- I have been laid up with the Chronic Dicentery. I cameback here and have been here since 9 daysthe old lady's give his History of the Capture and on 3rd (unclear)- I took it down in pencil- but unfortunately I got a set back ( Relaps) and have not been able to writeit down until yesterday late p.m, I will put this in, this (unclear), so you will get it tonight or morning. God only knows when I will be up again for I am pretty badly of-now. Maria Ruiz aught to answer all questions she can and I think with this rather large statement- and her's aught to satisfy. Carlos Monterzuma-I (have crossed out) had to take itas I did- to get to the Right of it.I find out now Dominga is a relative of Maria's- the old woman is now stopping with Dominga while I am sick.Most respectfullyin hasteArelue Mc IntorteI am sick but knowing that Maria waits to (lure unclear)- I have done the best that I can do (unclear)
