Dear Jack,
I need a favor which requires
your critical eye and expertise.
I have sent this story to several
magazines an one agent. The magazine
rejected it and the agent lost it.
Am I wasting my time with
this one? Please advise.
Other recent frustrations include
setting out tomato plants on Saturday
and having them freeze into little
green stalks on Monday night.
I suppose I was a little anxious
in hurrying into spring. All the
tulips and daffodil bulbs I planted
earlier did produce, however, which is
a first for me. I usually have
very bad luck with flowers and
rather good luck with gardens.
I've just finished [?] [?] in
Rich Man, Poor Man after seeing the
series on TV. The book is rather an
enigma in that it is not written very
well but tells a good story. it is
nowhere near the work [?] show
