It looks like the case was coming in the 25 & they will make as hard a fightas possible. I see by paper that they have subpoened Hardie ofconcealed forms before grand jury today. Some time ago a rumor came to me that he imagined I had said somethanks to him about the matter which I never did scribbled out I don't knowunclear what he may have in his head. You know his friendsin S.F. & who he has talked with. I think you told me he saidsomething ( [?] of this sort) in your presence. Do you know anyone to see & are you needed there; if not come, unclearget the charity? case & I will take care of it. If not unclearI will read. If you can ? any? by work do so.
