Dear Conroy:
I am sending out under separate
cover the jacket design for "Unrest".
It can be printed in black and white alone
or with the addition of red. The latter
would, I think be more effective. The dimensions
are in proportion to Unrest '29 you
have sent me.
All this- assuming you like the
design. If you do not, please have no scruple
whatever in rejecting it. If you accept it I
do not expect any compensation; count it as
my contribution to the cause.
A few words about the design.
The main intention is, of course, to attract
the eye, but beyond this there is a certain
symbolism which may be of some interest.
The globe (earth) surrounded by the ever growing
spirit of unrest (red spiral) rising
from houses and factories. I know
the metaphor has flaws, but the red
