User-Contributed Transcription 1 6/28/70 Jack Conroy 701 Fisk Moberly, Missouri 65270 Dear Jack: I sit here in Los Angeles, holy drunk on beer, thinking of you and I want to inform you about a mutual friend, Max or Emil Martel, whom you have known for many years. Max or Emil Martel, has been preparing for many years a Book, which he has entitled "John Lock's Nightmare or the Rise and Fall of the Confidence Man." It is presently about 900 pages long, all done in Inbnic [sic: Iambic] Pentameter Pater - crossed out Poetry. It is something that will sell in today's market. He should be encouraged by you to submit it. You should write to: Emil Martel, 527 N. Sycamore, Los Angeles 90036 and encourage him!
