Description NL #455, Folder #12, Life and Death Contrasted or an Essay on Woman, half woman half skeleton, holding a fan in her right hand and an arrow in her left, at her feet are playing cards, a book titled Romance and Novels vol. 1, a book on Gaming, a piece of paper titled Masquerade and a skull and bones. On the grave stone is a quote by Shakespeare's Hamlet, Act 5, Scene 1, "Now get you to my lady's chamber and tell her, let her paint an inch thick, to this complexion she must come at last."
