User-Contributed Transcription You once mentioned, I think, you could put in a word for me with the people who run Yaddo. Can you still? I ought to at least know the inside of one of those places. The Authors Guild sent a bulletin inviting members to apply to the MacDowell Colony (with it), so I did - but it turns out they want to have questionnaires filled out, etc., etc., + it sounds like more of a Social Club than anything else. But I do need to be closer to the swing of things, know what others are doing, etc. Even for future effectiveness on the campus, this would be useful. So tell me anything you can about Yaddo.
I got a note from Michel Fabre, with thanks for the Spinoza book. I've been derelict about writing him - what a fine guy, and how friendly he was to me in Paris!
Keep a date open, if you can, for early October, to come out to Post + talk to my Writing Workshop. I'll get together at least $300, and will try for more. You'd also meet some of the Confrontation editors. (I still want that mag. to amount to something!) Warm regards to Gladys. We'll meet this year for sure! - in Moberly, or on L. Island. Dan
