Summary Undated communication with the Creek Nation, written by Samuel Elbert during his term as governor of Georgia (1785-1786), regarding peace, the opening of trade, and the setting of a boundary line between the state of Georgia and the nation. Elbert reports that he has appointed three men to join with individuals appointed by the tribe to physically mark the line. He also promises that Georgians trespassing across the marked boundary will be "made examples of."
