Summary Letter written by T.P. McGuire to his brother dated in Placerville, Idaho Territory, June 1, 1864. T. P. McGuire left Califorinia for Idaho and mentions "a great deal of hard" travelling to Placerville in his letter. Included are a list of prices for various food items such as flour, sugar, and beef. McGuire tells how he is "opening a claim" and expresses concern for the coming winter as "they say the winter is six months." He invites his bother to visit next season.
