Signed with Ouilmette's mark, and written and signed by James Moore, the letter describes the Indians' destruction of Ouilmette and Kinzie property, including personal possessions and 400 hogs.

Biographical/Historical Note Early resident of Chicago and first settler of Wilmette and Evanston.
