Summary
1852 letter intended for publication in the addressee's "recorder," proposing the formation of a company, composed of landless young men of the laboring classes, for migration to Oregon in March of 1852 or 1853. Noting that land speculators have prevented freeborn men from obtaining property in Ohio and neighboring states, Peselm sees an opportunity in Oregon for such individuals to gain their independence.
