Summary May 7, 1732, letter to Patrick Gordon, the lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania, forwarding packets and correspondence intended for the admiralty and the N.Y. provincial council, and discussing Thomas Cresap's abuse of the Indians. Ogle reports that he has taken measures to prevent further abuse, which "may be of worse consequence to both Provinces than any Dispute we can have among ourselves."  Ironically, Cresap, then a resident of Havre de Grace, Md., would soon become a central figure in the boundary dispute to which Ogle refers. 
Biographical/Historical Note Samuel Ogle served as colonial governor of Maryland, 1731-1732, 1733-1742, and 1747-1752.
