Boilly 1827", is a lithographic portrait--hand-colored in red, blue, gray, yellow, brown, and black-- of three Missouri Osage Indians, Minckchatahooh, Grétomih, and Kishagashugah, who arrived in Paris August 13, 1827.  Kishagashugah or Little Chief (age 28), Minckchatahooh or Little Soldier (age 22), and Grétomih (age 18 and cousin to Kishagashugah's wife) had arrived in France July 27 from New Orleans as part of a party of six Osage Indians accompanied by the interpreter Paul Loise, the son of a French father and an Osage mother.  The larger print, entitled "Les Indiens de la tribu des Osages, arrivant en fiacre `a Paris", shows a group of six Osage Indians--the four men in native costume, the two women wearing long-sleeved striped dresses--leaning from the window of a coach.
