Description Two sizes of paper--"Petit papier" and "Moyen papier"--stamped with the paper tax stamp for the Generalité de Paris.
Three of the mss.--nos. 14, 18, and 24--are on parchment.
Mss. loosely bound in lower left corner with twisted paper twine. 
Summary Dossier of legal papers, dated between July 30, 1696 and Aug. 12, 1701, pertaining to the inheritance of the estate of René de Hodon, La Gruellerie, located in the Marais district, in Paris. Included in the dossier is a copy of the will of René de Hodon from March 17, 1683, in which he divides his property equally among his children, son Jean, and daughters Marie, Magdelaine, and Renée.  There are also briefs, petitions, and complaints brought over the years by individual heirs, against Jean de la Motte, local merchant and guardian of René de Hodon's grandson, Jean René, and tenant Nicolas Lienard.
