Leipzig, Sept. 8th 1887
Dear Sirs.
I am in receipt of your favor of Aug. 16 enclosing copy of a letter to Messrs. Meyer & Co of this city, by which they are instructed to pay to me the amount of my bill for the books ordered by Dr. Poole for the Newberry Library. I beg to thank you for this arrangement which exactly agrees with my wishes.
The first order will come by Dr Poole shall be executed with all care, and I hope to send off the books which are now nearly all in the hands of the binder, before the end of this month. I shall do my best to have this first order as well as all future ones executed to your satisfaction and I trust to make honor to the recommendation of Dr. Poole in my behalf.
