User-Contributed Transcription Oct 30th - 50Yours of yesterday, is recd I suppose you weredisappointed in not finding your mother at Bangorand she would have been disappointed if she had foundyou, our news would have been unexpected.I hope Lucy is comfortable and she has ourearnest prayers that she may recover also thather child may live, though on thatscore we have doubts - hope you will keepus advised of her situation at least twicea week and oftener is necessary -If you have recd my letter of the 28th witha budget of apple you know the reason yourmother did not go to Bangor, if you havenot recd it you'll find it at the Franklinhouse - your mother continues about thesame as when I wrote - no worse and we hope a little better - I shall be downmost week tell John -Mr Hamlin says that Robert Stewart owes him $200 - $50 payable now he thinks Stewart wouldlike to turn out 1/2 dozen or a dozen pairs firstrate thick boots and that he (Hamblin) wouldlike to take them provided you think you can sell them for cash what you could not sellI think this would take again let me know this weekP.P.
