Dear Sis Lucy.
    Feeling "sort-o-lonesome" tonight. thought
I would scribble a little to you.  Somehow I seem to long
for the society of brother + sisters tonight more than
usual.  I want somebody to talk to.  It was rainy this
morning so I did not go to meeting.  Mr [[?]]
Suppose there will be no preaching next Sunday unless
our new minister comes about which there still seems
to be some doubt.  There is some talk of our boarding
them if he comes, but I don't want them a bit-especially
his wife.  we have'nt any conveinences for boarders in
the first place, and then I hate to have a woman round
I think I have read somewhere that one should never
write anything in a letter that one was not perfectly willing
for everybody to see but I think it is a rule not often
followed at least by me

I have been very busy ever since
my school closed and suppose I shall be as long as we
stay here.  have been preparing stocking yarn making
a rug sewing rags quilting and knitting jacket.  I finished
mine last week - is is very pretty sets as slick as a mitten
I shall knit yours this week if nothing happens, am afraid
I shall not get it the right dimensions dont know at
